Development

Feel free to come to my house and drive a stake through my heart. My parents have purchased a webcam. This MSN Messenger thing has gone from bad to worse.

I don't mean to brag but...

I totally just rocked my first Chemistry midterm with an A- (83%). I initially thought I only got 66% until I realized it was marked out of 12 not 15, perhaps a brush-up course in math might be a good idea! I do boast with a great deal of hesitation as it's a long road ahead just yet!

While I was on campus roaming about I ran into a former classmate from last year. He graduated in April and is now doing Education, which I did not realize until I saw him today. Another woman (girl, as I would call her) who had been talking to him and said, "Catch you later, S." He was sitting with his back to her and had turned around to speak to her earlier but he didn't turn around and acknowledge her leaving. Once again in the land of higher learning the idiots come out to play. S is deaf. Everyone knows S is deaf and reads lips and therefore speaking to the back of him is useless. And she's going to be a teacher. Moron.

Back to being annoyed

Annoyed Part I:
So the same eBay dispute has been opened only this time it's for the other pair of pants. I will be leaving negative feedback for the seller since they clearly have no sense of operating a business properly.

Annoyed Part II:
I visited our local newspaper online this morning only to be harassed by an annoying McDonald's ad. Normally I have enough computer knowledge to overcome the wretched ads but for some reason this little F$%er stuck.

Back to loving eBay!

I am bidding on a PINK massage table. Not that my clients ever seen the colour of the table with all the linens (coffee stains removed), and additional foam, blankets, etc. PINK, I say, PINK!

I also just received my new business cards today and I am quite pleased. I may have him change the font a bit for the next round but they have a whole new look. Love my old ones but I'm fickle and tend to thrive on these types of changes.

The long winter

I was just annoyed today. First, I spilled a half of a cup of coffee into my basket full of clean folded linens for work. Not off to a good start to say the least. Somehow I managed not to swear or to throw the coffee cup.

My client was a breath of fresh air as is usually the case. Work generally is "fun" for me save a few folks that are a lot of work. From there I ventured off to the land of higher education (insert eye rolling here) where everyone is an idiot. On my way into the biology building I pulled open a door not realizing or caring the someone was on the other side and since I was closer I continued to move as though I was going to pass through the door that I had opened. A girl on the other side says "Thank you!" and pushed awkwardly toward and then through the door. Uhhh, honey, I wasn't holding it for you!

The class I was in caused my head to hurt.

The next class (lab) caused my head to almost explode. This lab is going to be the death of me.

I came home after popping by the grocery store to pick up cleaner because Vince had shit on the floor.

I put salad dressing into my deli purchased salad but had to switch bowls twice because the lettuce kept spilling out over the top. While reaching for bowl #2 boyfriend's power bar that he bought at the It Costs An Arm and A LEg Store fell out of the cupboard. I didn't throw it. I wanted to throw it. But I didn't throw it.

I ate.

I binged on chocolate.

I have a chemistry midterm tomorrow.

Rough day.

On a happier note, my clogged bathtub drain was fixed today and I showered!

I was right

EBay dispute was closed. Yeah for me!

My Ebay crisis

I am so annoyed. I sat here two weekends ago and bought everything that ever was on eBay. A lot of my items have been delivered bringing a new surprise to my mail box everyday! I am loving the online shopping and things being brought directly to me, LOVIN' IT!

I ordered: business cards, a stamp, 5 pairs of jeans (online! I know, silly but they all fit), 1 shirt for boyfriend, tags for the dog and cats, 30 belts (yeah, I know), a book for my nephew, 2 pairs of cords, a Pirates of Caribbean ring and Davy Jones chest keys (clearly for boyfriend's costume), 3 watches. I think that's all. Excessive.

Yeah, perhaps I have eBay issues.

Most of these items are within my possession, however, some are still being shipped. And the two pairs of cords, well, they're on hold. I asked the seller if I could combine the shipping to save on the cost, which she said was ok so she forwards the updated invoice with her email so I could do paypal. I pay my bill and await my new pants (these I'm quite sure aren't going to fit but hey, I'll shrink into them).

Yesterday, I logged into my eBay account to see what I could see and I see an unpaid item notice. I responded to the dispute with the date of payment, amount, etc. but they won't respond. I am so annoyed. I had enough wherewithal to save all my correspondence with all my eBay sellers. They are not getting another cent from me.

What's that smell...oh, it's me

I totally forgot to apply the required dose of antiperspirant before heading out to work yesterday. I somehow managed to not end up stenching up my very warm massage room. Oh the horrors that could have been.

Right on!

We are being positively pelted with snow and I am loving it. 15-20 cm earlier today and another 15 overnight. I cannot stand how exciting this really is! LOVING IT!

All Tied Up

Vince has officially had all of his running-free-in-the-yard privileges revolked as of 10 minutes ago. For the fourth time, yes numero 4, he has paced and whined to go outside presumably for a tinkle so I let him out. I give him 10 seconds or less before I call him because I have become suspicious of mid-afternoon pee-breaks.

He doesn't come back.

I put my boots and coat on because I know where he has gone but today it's -36 C with the windchill so I'm reluctant to go outside.

I'm pissed.

I think about leaving him out there.

I stand on my front deck and call his name and I hear nothing, I see nothing. So I whistle and low and behold the motherf#$%ing dog comes trotting down and then across Smythe St. NOT COOL! Apparently the feed store had the loading doors closed so he couldn't get in so decided to come back.

Needless to say I have reattached the leash to the rope on the back deck where he will be tied for every pee and poop to come.

Yep! I'm there for life.

So I popped by to see my academic adviser this morning regarding my impending graudation that isn't. I did indeed get approval in APRIL 2005!!!! OH MY GOD THANKS FOR TELLING ME TWO YEARS LATER! to complete my degree with a minor in Ergonomics. Now that I only have three courses left to complete my basic undergraduate degree I had to decide whether to scrap the whole plan or not. I chose not. I can't stand having things incomplete and I have, of course, already taken courses toward the minor without prior approval.

Anyhow, that being said, I have one course for each term until next spring, so four total. Not bad I suppose. My official degree will be a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Minor in Ergonomics. Yep, a lot of big words that mean I spent A LOT of money.

Graduation Nightmare

Soooo, I may never ever graduate. Seriously! Someone called me a "lifer" over the holidays and that statement may be closer to reality than I care to admit.

I got this email from my adviser today regarding a minor that I had applied for a while ago (a little late on the department's part to say the least):

While updating your student record sheet, I noticed that you applied to do an Ergonomics
minor in April 2005. Are you still planning on completing this? If so, you are required
to finish a few more courses. Please stop by the office, C201, LB Gym, to discuss this
further.

We'll see...

Lord, take me now!

My parents have discovered MSN Messenger. Need I say more?

"Hello"

"Answer me"

"You there?"

"You there?"

"You there?"

"You there?"

"You there?"

"You there?"

oh dear.

Ok I've Got One!

Red meat. I'm cutting WAY back on red meat. That's my resolution.

Here we go again

Resolutions for the new year:
- stop being fat
- study really hard, or even at all would do, so I can graduate from this silly university in April
- walk the dog more
- call my friends more
- do something crafty
- join the gym (in April)
- do my HST on time
- etc.

That being said, I had a wonderful Christmas and a very quiet but enjoyable New Year's Eve with boyfriend. At 12:25 am he looked at me and says, "OH! Happy New Year!" Ooops, we'd missed it a bit. We were sitting at my parents' place watching Anger Management on satellite while mum and dad were out livin' it up.

Off to scoop cat poop!
