Green stuff

I survived St. Patrick's Day. For most that is not a challenging quest however, I live with...
Our neighbour's had a party, which was in no way connected to St. P's Day but did involve me drinking a great deal of wine. Eeek. We all survived uninjured! I am feeling a wee bit slow and groggy today and looking like...

In the spirit of green goings on we decided to abuse the dog...

I think it's safe to say LION

In like a lion out like a lamb is a safe description of March 2007 so far. March 2nd saw our province receive an extra 10-15 cm of snow with warm temperatures. Today we are in a deep freeze of -17C with -29C windchill and it's supposed to be -35C overnight. That's pretty lionish in my mind. That being said, I'm really beginning to look forward to spring!

I was moving a plant in my office this afternoon and I noticed numerous new buds developing! The days are definitely getting longer and the sun is getting warmer. I can handle the extra cold. Spring will be glorious this year.

The Death of an Automobile

Yes, it's true, my grandmother handed over her car to me over a year and a half ago after buying herself a new one. She even insisted on paying the fee to switch the registration to my name. I was/am very appreciated of all of that, of course. However, the damn car is a lemon. It had 75000 km on it when I took possession even though it is a 1997. She drove the car very carefully and maintained it better than most could ever imagine but, it's a fucking lemon.

Last spring I forked out $1400 to get it to pass inspection. Between that and last fall I had forked out another $600+. And now yesterday, the power steering had decided to stop working. sigh

I skipped class this morning. I need March break to start RIGHT NOW.
