Helloooooo???

Well hello blogland. I'm still around although I seem to have taken quite the hiatus from blogging. I think I may be back.

A quick update: I finished the degree I spent a lot of time whining about on here but I have started another one so there will be no lack of material for writing! Uhhhh, and uhhh...that's about it. A great number of my friends have married, reproduced, and moved away. I moved away as well but have neither married nor reproduced. Whew!

It's quite interesting for me to flip through the old posts on this blog; many of the words I do not remember writing. It was so strange but enjoyable to revisit those old memories.

Because I can

I'm sorry.

I thought I should apologize in advance for forcing you to look at my mini-garden pictures. By the way, I planted a mini-garden. It's wee, about 2 and a half feet by about 8 feet or so. I've planted winter squash, beets, lettuce (don't remember what kind), zucchini, and cucumber. I also planted carrots, radish, and peas in another small garden. I'm new to gardening so I'll post my progress for your "amusement!"

Wow, I need to get a life.

Anyway...
Here are the zucchini and few random squash 12 days after planting:

Here are the lettuce...you'd have to blow up the picture to see them!

This is a lone lettuce that's a bit bigger than the rest!

These are beets, look closely!

Green stuff

I survived St. Patrick's Day. For most that is not a challenging quest however, I live with...
Our neighbour's had a party, which was in no way connected to St. P's Day but did involve me drinking a great deal of wine. Eeek. We all survived uninjured! I am feeling a wee bit slow and groggy today and looking like...

In the spirit of green goings on we decided to abuse the dog...

I think it's safe to say LION

In like a lion out like a lamb is a safe description of March 2007 so far. March 2nd saw our province receive an extra 10-15 cm of snow with warm temperatures. Today we are in a deep freeze of -17C with -29C windchill and it's supposed to be -35C overnight. That's pretty lionish in my mind. That being said, I'm really beginning to look forward to spring!

I was moving a plant in my office this afternoon and I noticed numerous new buds developing! The days are definitely getting longer and the sun is getting warmer. I can handle the extra cold. Spring will be glorious this year.

update

The car is ok. A minor patch up has fixed the power steering!
